Process and Timeline

Document Preparation and Collection
Collecting necessary documents like the company’s Tax ID (NPWP), owner ID, Business License (SIUP/NIB), and employee details for registration. Estimated Time: 1 working day.

Form Filling and Submission
Complete employer and employee registration forms and submit them online or in person at a BPJS Ketenagakerjaan office.. Estimated Time: 1 working day.

Initial Payment
Make the first contribution payment based on the contribution code provided by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Estimated Time: 1 working day.

Issuance of Participation Card and Certificate
After payment, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan will issue a participant card and certificate of participation, a maximum of 7 working days after payment.

SIPP Online Registration
Register the company in the Online Participant Reporting Information System (SIPP) for reporting and managing membership data every month. Estimated Time: 1-2 working days.

Important Consideration
- BPJS TK membership is mandatory for all companies that employ employees.
- Delays in registration and reporting may be subject to administrative sanctions by BPJS and the Manpower Office.
- BPJS TK dues consist of several components, such as JHT, JKK, JKM, and JP, and are calculated based on the amount of wages.
- The reporting and payment system is done online through SIPP or the official BPJS TK application.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all companies required to register employees with BPJS TK?
Yes. According to UU No. 24/2011, all employers are required to register their employees with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan
Do contract employees also have to be registered with BPJS TK?
Yes, as long as the employee receives wages and works on a permanent or contract basis for the company.
Are foreign workers required to be registered for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and BPJS Kesehatan?
Yes, Foreign employees with a minimum 6-month work term in Indonesia must enroll in the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan program. Foreigners staying in Indonesia for over six months are required to register with both BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and BPJS Kesehatan.
How is the BPJS TK contribution calculated?
The contribution is calculated based on a percentage of the employee’s wage according to the type of protection (JHT, JKK, JKM, and JP)
