Who is required to register the IMEI?

How do I register the IMEI of personal items?
Registration can be done through the Customs portal or upon arrival at the airport, by presenting the purchase document and device specifications.
Do devices purchased from overseas online have to be registered?
Yes. If the device does not yet have a registered IMEI in Indonesia’s CEIR system, it must still go through the registration process to avoid being blocked.
Can one person register more than one device?
For the personal category, the government usually limits a maximum of two devices per person per year.
How is the IMEI registration process for companies?
To register IMEI numbers, companies must first obtain TPP and SKI through the OSS or the Ministry of Industry systems. Following this, they should coordinate with Customs for the import process and ensure the IMEI data is synchronized with the CEIR system.
