Process and Timeline

Preparation of Sponsor Documents & Visa Application Form
Discuss the plan and purpose of the visit (tourism, family visit, social & cultural activities) and prepare the required documents: Passport (minimum 6 months validity), Recent photo, Sponsorship letter from local sponsor (Embassy, foundation, or private), Online application form (fill in at e-Visa portal or Embassy). Estimated Time: 2-4 working days.

Submission to the Embassy or e-Visa Portal
Documents are submitted electronically (e-Visa) or manually (paper-based) through the Indonesian Embassy. Estimated Time: 5-10 working days.

Visa Submission & Physical Collection
Once approved, the visa is issued and can be physically collected from the Embassy or printed automatically (e-Visa). Estimated time: 3-5 working days after approval.
*The total estimated time to apply for an Indonesian tourist visa (B211A) is about 2-3 weeks. This visa can be extended up to a total of 180 days (initial 60 days, plus 4 x 30-day extensions) through the local Immigration Office. The extension processing time is 5-7 working days.
Important Consideration
- The Tourist Visa cannot be used for work, journalistic activities, or other commercial activities.
- This single-entry visa requires a new application for each re-entry into Indonesia.
- It can only be extended once, with a maximum stay of up to 120 days in total.
